That makes three! Indeed, there are three teams of the Men’s WorldTour 2021 now partnered by Alé: an absolute first, bearing in mind that no international cycling sportswear brand currently collaborates with more than two cycling teams of the men's elite road cycling WT.
Bonferraro di Sorgà (Verona, Italy) 30th April 2021 – In the wake of the Movistar and Groupama FDJ teams, Alé, the Verona-based cycling apparel brand – boasting an all-Italian production of high technology and quality – has taken over from the previous supplier of the Bahrain Victorious team, starting from May 1st, thus becoming to all effects and purposes their partner and technical sponsor until the end of the season. The Bahrain Victorious team will be wearing Alé and the garments being supplied to Landa, Pello Bilbao, Colbrelli, Capecchi, Milan and teammates are those of the tried and tested PR-S collection. Instead, the graphic design of the jersey – apart from the producer’s logo of course – has not undergone any substantial changes, owing to this mid-season switch: a somewhat unusual occurrence in the ambit of professional cycling.
The reliability of the PR-S line
As a direct consequence of an extremely close collaboration with some top-ranking teams of the world cycling circuit, the PR-S line by Alé is in all respects a distillation of style and excellent performance: a synthesis of avant-garde research and technical solutions developed directly by the brand in its many years of activity in competitive cycling. The Alé technical team has focused special attention on the “racing fit” aspect of this line of garments. In-depth studies have been carried out on the various positions adopted by cyclists when racing, with the aim of producing performance-enhancing racewear (based on the exploitation of aerodynamics) without sacrificing comfort; the latter being an essential requirement for any cyclist. The resulting garments have all the characteristics of a “second skin”, with a reduced number of cuts and flat seams, which envelops the body in an anatomical and aerodynamic fit of superb workmanship. Besides, thanks to “Body Mapping” technology, the strategic positioning of the fabrics used in various areas of the body is defined according to the athlete’s need for ventilation, breathability and protection. Along with the PR-S kit, the Bahrain Victorious team will also use protective garments (guscio softshell jackets, jackets and accessories) from the Klimatik® line. This is the Alé flagship collection specifically designed for protection: a technical synthesis of breathable, waterproof and comf
« I am delighted to announce this agreement with the Bahrain Victorious team – states Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG srl, the company that owns the Alé brand – This is the third team of the Men’s World Tour to be offered the opportunity of wearing our high-tech garments this year. This partnership means a great deal to us since it enables us to close an important loop in our communications and sponsoring activities. Along with Movistar Team, Groupama FDJ and Bahrain Victorious in the men’s WorldTour, Alé also partners two women’s World Tour teams, Movistar itself and the home team, Alé BTC Ljubljana. Then, how could I forget to mention the Bardiani CSF Faizané, the jerseys of the leading teams in the Enel Giro d’Italia Under 23, the European Cycling Union (UEC) and the French Cycling Federation (FFC) which afforded us immense satisfaction last year when Julian Alaphilippe won the World Championship».
