Alé - Cipollini has owned the third Northern Classic Race of the season: Janneke Ensing could take the victory and Soraya Paladin ended in fourth place the final sprint which decided the race.
The big work which has been finalized at the finish started at 30 kms to go, where Karlijn Swinkels increased the pace to make a big slection in the peloton, which was composed by 25 athletes ten kilometers later. The attack of six riders, including the two #YellowFluoOrange girls Ensing and Paladin, became soon the decisive breakaway. Ensing attacked in the last cobblestoned sector at 2 kms to go and arrived all alone for her third win in careere with Alé - Cipollini. Her compatriot Floortje Mackaij and the Australian Lauren Kitchen completed the podium.

The big results in this beginning of 2018 make an improvement in the UCI Team Ranking: The Alé - Cipollini is now 7th overall and gets ahead of one position than the WaowDeals Team of Marianne Vos.
