Alé La Merckx 2016


The 10th edition of the Cannibal, in the heart of Verona

June, 12 is the date of the 10th edition of the Granfondo Alé La Merckx, with departure and arrival in the city of Verona.

The next Granfondo Alé La Merckx, the competition dedicated to the unstoppable Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx, knows as the ‘Cannibal’, will take place on June, 12.

After nines years in the Brentino Belluno, the race will move to the region of Verona and it will start from the majestic Bra square, the largest square of the city.

The viable routes will be two, gran fondo and medio fondo, in which the competitors will pedal from the historic center of Verona, through the Valpolicella, until the Valpantena, from where they will direct slightly downhill to the city.

There will be many news this year that will animate not only the cycling lovers, as the griglia Scaligera, an innovative format that will allow to enjoy the event in a more relaxed perspective and the free guided tour of the city of Verona dedicated to the cyclists’ partners.
