It is said that cyclists will save the world because they move without producing pollution like those who move in cars do. However, in recent years a serious problem has arisen that has been neglected in the past: plastic. It is estimated that around 570 thousand tons of plastic waste ends up in the sea. This year from 5 to 14 July at the Giro d'Italia, the girls of the Alé Cipollini team will become flagships of a new concept of respect for the environment: they will wear a kit created by Alé made of recycled plastic.
The cycling outfit is highly performing for a professional team. The GREEN ROAD JERSEY jersey is mainly composed of Microforato Light Green fabric (GRS certified) which increases ventilation and promotes drying. The back is light, breathable and durable, thanks to the Micro Back Green fabric. The raw cut sleeves, made of Skin 120 Green, allow maximum freedom of movement and better aerodynamics. The 3 back pockets have a reflective insert to be more visible on the road and a fourth pocket on the side, to store waste such as bar paper and gel.
The GREEN ROAD BIBSHORT bibshort is made from Denali Green fabric (GRS certified), it is used for the legs and has a good muscular compression thanks to its multidirectional elasticity. The bibs are made of Kimball Green, a mesh fabric with great elasticity and resistance, and Green Elastic, which guarantees functionality and hold in the bibs. The bottom leg insert, in Gripper Green, has a sharp cut and dresses like a second skin. These pants have the new GREEN 4H pad for men and GREEN W4H for women, with a green fabric for the top layer and a thickness of 12mm to protect both on the road and off-road.
The GREEN ROAD kit will be available for the 2020 spring-summer season for all those who want to buy it, contributing even more to respect the environment.
